Equipment for mobile water treatment – complete water treatment systems
Mobile water treatment means that treatment equipment can be moved and installed where it is needed. These systems are often built into containers or modular units, making them easy to transport, install, and adapt between different projects.
Swedish Hydro Solutions provides equipment for both temporary and permanent water treatment systems—from mobile solutions to fully established stationary water treatment plants—tailored to flow rates, contaminants, and site-specific conditions.
The foundation of our water treatment systems
All of our water treatment systems are based on flocculation, a process in which particle-bound contaminants bind together into larger flocs that settle to the bottom and can be separated from the water.
To enhance this process, we use chitosan, a natural flocculant that enables stable and cost-effective treatment of large water volumes. Chitosan is biodegradable and environmentally friendly, forming the foundation of our solutions.
How the flocculation process works
Swedish Hydro Solutions uses a patented technology based on chitosan flocculation. Dosing is managed through our proprietary HydroBox system, ensuring a consistent and controlled process.
The technology combines flocculation and sedimentation to efficiently remove particles and other particulate-bound contaminants. The method was originally developed in Seattle, USA, where it has proven highly effective for water treatment and is classified as a Best Management Practice (BMP) for stormwater management under U.S. regulations.
Through continuous development, we have created water treatment systems that offer high reliability, lower operating costs, and user-friendly operation.
Customized water treatment systems for every project
Every water source is unique, and not all contaminants are particle-bound. That’s why our water treatment systems are built using multiple treatment technologies that work together to achieve the required water quality.
Here, you can explore the components and technologies used in our water treatment systems—combined and adapted to meet the specific conditions of each project.
