Following extensive and dedicated efforts across our entire organization, Swedish Hydro Solutions has successfully obtained certifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. This means that our management system meets international standards for quality, environmental responsibility, and workplace health and safety.

– Our goal is to become the leading provider of water treatment solutions in the European market as well. The ISO certification strengthens our position and competitiveness as we expand internationally, says Margaretha Rhodin, CEO of Swedish Hydro Solutions.

Quality, environment, and workplace safety

The certification process has spanned over a year, during which we have strengthened and improved our internal processes to ensure high-quality standards in our operations. By optimizing resource usage, managing environmental risks, and continuously improving workplace conditions, we are fostering sustainable and responsible working methods while better meeting our customers' needs.

Sustainable water treatment – from north to south

A new water treatment system was recently commissioned to address PFAS contamination associated with tunnel construction—this time at a major industrial site in northern Sweden. This means we now operate water treatment facilities from the northernmost to the southernmost parts of the country, continuing our efforts to provide sustainable water treatment solutions across Sweden.

PFAS treatment delivered to a large industry in Western Sweden

At the end of 2024, a large industry in Western Sweden initiated contact with us to find a solution for treating collected water at one of their operational areas. Analyses revealed elevated levels of zinc and PFAS11, which exceeded the municipality's guidelines for stormwater discharges. The subsequent enforcement led to the development of a tailored treatment facility, which is now in operation and already showing promising results.

Water treatment in focus at the Ocean Lab, Universeum

For two years, Swedish Hydro Solutions has collaborated with Universeum in Gothenburg to enhance the younger generation’s understanding of the importance of purifying water from pollutants before it is released into our waterways. This collaboration has taken shape through the Havslabbet, where we were involved from the early concept stage and contributed to both the design of the lab as well as providing materials and expertise. The goal is to offer visitors a hands-on and interactive experience of smart, environmentally friendly water treatment.
