An energy company in western Sweden engaged Swedish Hydro Solutions to evaluate our catch basin filter with oil absorbents at their facility. The goal was to reduce the amount of oil runoff from parking areas and driveways, where oil spills occurred from vehicles operating in the area.

In February 2024, a major fire broke out at Liseberg’s new water park, Oceana, requiring an extensive firefighting operation. The efforts led to contamination of extinguishing water, wastewater, and stormwater. NCC, the main contractor for the project, quickly turned to Swedish Hydro Solutions for a solution. Just one week after the request, a filtration system was installed on-site to treat the extinguishing water for heavy metals, PFAS, and other pollutants.

On the Norrbotniabanan railway, between Umeå and Skellefteå, a tunnel is being excavated through Fädbodberget and Ersmarksberget. The so-called Ersmark Tunnel will be 1.6 kilometers long, with the first blasting operations starting in the spring of 2024. Swedish Hydro Solutions provides water treatment for the project through two separate facilities.

In June 2024, Swedish Hydro Solutions installed a full-scale water treatment facility for Stena Recycling in Halmstad. Stena faced the challenge of managing large volumes of industrial stormwater after a new stormwater pond was brought into operation.

Bo Altenstam AB in Hörby is one of the few licensed waste management companies in Sweden specializing in metal and cable recycling. The company focuses on recycling cable scrap, copper cables, and aluminum cables, but also handles all types of metal waste. Their in-house machines process and granulate the material, making it ready for reuse.

Open dialogue, creative solutions, and Nacka Municipality's good communication about the site's history and condition created good conditions for an efficient, full-scale water treatment system.

In order to test the same technology used by several West Link projects, the international construction company Implenia purchased an entire system, including professional services, from SHS.

During the construction of the new healthcare building, stringent environmental requirements are in place. The groundwater pumped up must be free from chemicals before it enters the stormwater system. Swedish Hydro Solutions was commissioned for the task.

The West Link section “Central Station” project is NCC's largest construction contract ever. Swedish Hydro Solutions has been contracted for the water management in this project.

For over sixty years, the Fix sign was a landmark in Majorna, Gothenburg. Now the factory is closed, the neon sign taken down, and 500 homes are set to be built on this classic industrial site. Stringent requirements are imposed on water treatment as the land is remediated, and concrete is reused
