Additional treatment

For additional treatment results, mesh bags with BioMedia® and/or Oil Absorbent can also be added and placed in the Cath Basin Filter.

The specially developed filter media used in BioMedia® filters effectively reduce what is commonly referred to as heavy metals, such as copper, lead, and zinc. It is also effective against various organic compounds, ranging from oil-based to chlorinated pollutants. This means that BioMedia® reduces most environmental toxins.

The oil absorbent is a specially engineered material made from recycled wood pulp that effectively manages oil-based liquids while repelling water. Unlike regular polypropylene-based absorbents, it prevents the leaching and drainage of hydrocarbons by capturing oil in its cellulose fibers.
