Swedish Hydro Solutions continues to grow
25.11.21
As the company takes on more projects, the demand for service technicians grows. To meet this need, Swedish Hydro Solutions is expanding its Service team with three new hires. Two will be based in Alingsås, while the third strengthens the Stockholm office.
Youssef Kramdi (left in photo), 27, from Stockholm, brings experience from construction projects and warehouse work. He has also studied to become a building services engineer and has solid experience of system installations, automation, programming and flow adjustments.
– I was contacted by a recruitment agency and when I heard about the company, it immediately sounded interesting – and the PURE concept felt good as well. Water treatment is new to me, but I have worked a lot with programs, modbus systems and everything related to control and regulation. I’m good at adjusting flows, Youssef says.
Linus Larsson (right in photo), 30, has also worked with property-related tasks and flow adjustments in the past.
– I visited the website, read up on the company and immediately got a good feeling about the job. The fact that we use crab shells in the process is genuinely interesting. I saw this as a chance to pick up new skills.
John Henryz (center in photo), 29, is returning to Swedish Hydro Solutions as a technician.
– Yes, I’ve actually been offered this job twice, without ever applying, John says with a laugh. The first time I met founder Jakob Sjöberg by chance. When he explained what the company does, I became interested right away, partly because the treatment technology is based on sustainable methods. They happened to be hiring at the time, and we quickly started discussing a position.
John then worked as a service technician at Swedish Hydro Solutions for a couple of years, including the Hamnbanan project in Gothenburg.
– Then I wanted to try something completely different and spent some time in the restaurant and brewery world. But when Swedish Hydro Solutions recently reached out and asked if I wanted to come back, it felt like the right direction for me. So here I am again, John says with a smile.

The onboarding process
All new service technicians at Swedish Hydro Solutions go through an onboarding process to get the best possible start. It includes learning about working methods, processes and safety routines, as well as training in our treatment methods, equipment, the PURE concept and our quality–environment–work environment work.
Training is important since Swedish Hydro Solutions is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. The PURE management system meets international standards for quality, environment and work environment. This means that we work in a structured and consistent way, deliver high quality to our customers, take responsibility for the environment and maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
Johan Magnusson and Jakob Sjöberg have introduced the new recruits to the lab, where they have gone through various treatment techniques and carried out practical tests with different types of contaminated water samples. The new technicians also receive a thorough introduction to the technology, control units and other automation devices.
Therese Ott, responsible for quality, environment and work environment, has reviewed all routines related to documentation, apps and processes – for example how to write reports and conduct risk assessments.
– It feels good that the company truly takes safety seriously, says Linus Larsson.
Once the internal onboarding is completed, it’s time to head out into the field. During the first months, new service technicians always work together with a senior colleague who acts as a mentor and support.
– I’m really looking forward to it. It’s when you work with the systems out in the field that you really learn, Youssef Kamdi concludes.
