Two New Contracts Secured for 2025
24.11.27
Swedish Hydro Solutions has recently secured two new contracts for 2025, both involving unique and customized solutions. One project includes a comprehensive commitment in northern Sweden, where we are responsible for design, plant sizing, flow-proportional sampling, and bench studies. The other project involves the delivery of two advanced filtration systems to manage industrial stormwater in western Sweden.
– We are very proud and pleased with the trust our customers place in us when it comes to handling complex water treatment challenges. Both projects are unique in their own right and require tailored solutions to achieve the ambitious goals. In recent years, Northern Sweden has been a growing market for us, and our solutions are particularly well-suited, as we can monitor the treatment process in real time from a distance. This is appreciated by our customers and minimizes the risk of downtime, says Carl-William Kalholm, Sales and Marketing Manager at Swedish Hydro Solutions.
Comprehensive Commitment in the North
In northern Sweden, we have been entrusted to contribute to infrastructure work aimed at improving accessibility and capacity within a water area. The project involves advanced land and water work, as well as measures to optimize transport capabilities.
As part of the preparations, Swedish Hydro Solutions has been tasked with designing a water treatment system by autumn 2024. The design process includes site visits for sampling and analysis, with the results forming the basis for a bench study and the development of a final treatment design, including drawings and flow diagrams.
The completed facility is scheduled for delivery in early spring 2025 and is designed for flow-proportional sampling as well as real-time monitoring of parameters such as flow and pH levels. The initial design, capable of handling flows of up to 40 m³/h, includes a sedimentation container with an integrated pH adjustment system, two lamella separators, a 20-foot HydroBox for flocculation and precipitation, and a collection container for treated water. If required, a filtration system with BioMedia® can be added to reduce TBT, which will be determined during the planning phase.
The project is planned to last five months from delivery, with the possibility of extension depending on the project's progress.
Advanced Filtration System in Western Sweden
In western Sweden, we have secured a contract for the delivery of two advanced, custom-designed filtration systems to treat industrial stormwater. The water, collected from two areas and directed to a stormwater reservoir, contains pollutants such as dissolved metals, including copper. The reservoir serves both as sedimentation volume when needed and as a buffer for further treatment.
The filtration systems, built by Swedish Hydro Solutions, will consist of two 20-foot containers with a total of 12 BioMedia®-based filtration systems. The capacity for these systems is up to 60 m³/h, with the potential to expand to 120 m³/h by adding two more containers if needed.
The plant will be sold and delivered in March 2025. The project is ongoing, and Swedish Hydro Solutions will provide technical support and service visits as needed.
